Step 1. With VehicleWizard open, click on the button "Begin New Inventory"
*If you are unable to click on this button, please give support a call.

Part 2. Using the Scanner
Step 3. Remove your scanner from the cradle, and start it into VehicleWizard.
3a. If you have an MC55 scanner, this would be holding down the red power button until the scanner turns off. Let go and it should turn back on automatically. It will eventually launch into VehicleWizard after a couple of minutes.
3b. If you have a Janam Scanner, hold down the red power button on the left-hand side, at the top. Hold this down until a menu displays on the screen, and choose "Soft Reset". This will restart the scanner and after a couple of minutes it will launch into VehicleWizard.
3c. If you have a Symbol Scanner, hold down one of the yellow buttons on the side of the scanner, the green enter button, and the blue function button, at the same time. You should get a screen that says PPT 8800, upon seeing this screen you can release the button. This will restart the scanner and after a couple of minutes it will launch into VehicleWizard.
Step 4. Once the scanner has finally loaded VehicleWizard, you are ready to scan in your lot changes. Simply select the lot that you wish to add a vehicle too, in the lot field, and then begin scanning vehicles you are assigning that lot location too. Rinse and repeat this for any vehicles you wish to assign lot locations too. Be sure to hit enter on your final vehicle, to secure it in as a scan.
Part 2. Syncing the Scanner and Uploading the Changes to the DMS
Step 5. Once you've finished scanning all the vehicles you wish to adjust, put the scanner back in the cradle, and click on the 'Sync Scanner' button, once it becomes available.
*Note if this button doesn't become available, please give our support line a call.
Step 6 . After syncing your scanner, you can review the scans, and their assigned lots by clicking on your Report button, and then navigating to the "All Scanned" tab.
Step 7. You'll want to verify that the lot changes look good and that they are what you intended to change them too. Looking in the Lot column will show you what lot the vehicles scanned will be updated to, in the DMS.
Step 8. Once everything is verified and you're happy with the changes, click on the upload button. This will update both the lot locations, and the last scanned dates for all vehicles scanned.
